ALL ABOUT Camp Cedarcrest
The DREAM summer camp program currently takes place at Camp Cedarcrest in Orange, Connecticut.
ACCOMMODATIONS
At DREAM, we ensure that every camper feels comfortable, safe, and well-cared for during their stay. Campers sleep in cozy cabins that accommodate 6-16 campers, with experienced counselors present in each cabin to provide guidance and support. All cabins are equipped with in-cabin showers or easy access to bath houses, so campers have everything they need to feel refreshed and ready for each day of adventure.
Cabins are grouped by gender and assigned ahead of time, and we gladly accept cabin requests to ensure friends can stay together. As a gender-affirming camp, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all campers. Linens are provided, and there is plenty of storage space in each cabin so campers can keep their belongings organized and comfortable throughout their stay.
MEALS
We believe that delicious, nutritious meals are an essential part of a great camp experience. Our kitchen team serves up a variety of healthy dishes, alongside comforting favorites, to keep campers energized and satisfied throughout the day. We understand the importance of balanced nutrition, and every meal is prepared with care to ensure campers get the fuel they need for all their activities.
We are also committed to accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies. Our team works closely with families to make sure that every camper’s dietary needs are met, so everyone can enjoy their meals with peace of mind. From hearty breakfasts to tasty dinners and snacks in between, mealtimes at DREAM are about sharing, connection, and great food.
RECREATION
There’s always something fun to do at camp! Our campground is designed to keep campers engaged, active, and having a blast from morning to night. With both pool and lake access, campers can cool off, learn new water skills, and enjoy swimming, boating, and other water activities. For those who love sports, we have basketball and tennis courts, complete with lighting for evening games, so the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down.
Our nature trails offer endless opportunities for exploration, hikes, and walks, bringing campers closer to the great outdoors. There’s plenty of open field space for team sports like flag football, soccer, and more, giving everyone a chance to run, play, and compete. And for our youngest campers, the Littles (ages 5 and 6), we offer special programming that includes extra crafts and classic blacktop activities like chalk, hopscotch, bubbles, and hula hoop.
Even on extra hot or rainy days, the fun continues with board games and card games in the cool, shaded spaces. We keep every second booked with activities, ensuring campers are always engaged, exploring new interests, and making memories that last a lifetime.

The Benefit of Distance
It's not just the view that drives us to Camp X. The distance makes it possible to ensure campers are immersed in the present while still being close enough to reach parents in the event of an emergency. While camp mail makes it possible to stay in touch on a daily basis, we've found that children are quite resilient, and we have an incredibly high success rate in helping campers through their first sleepover experience.
